The Space Race scar inside Grand Central

Created in collaboration with Grand Central Terminal, this under-one-minute vertical reel uncovers the story behind the small hole hidden in the Main Concourse’s celestial ceiling. The mark dates to a 1957 exhibition of a Redstone rocket, when a cable was passed through the ceiling during its installation. Kate Broug researched, scripted, hosted and edited the piece, transforming an overlooked Cold War–era detail into a concise, engaging story for mobile audiences.
